This is a State Plan scheme which came into existence in 1970-71. It was transferred by Social Welfare Deptt. in the year 1991-92 to Dev. and Panchayats Deptt. The aim is to provide a common platform to the communities for celebrating their community functions like marriages, festivals and to discuss the issues of common importance. The development of villages like construction of community centres, link roads between villages for width less than 5 karam, paths to fields under Mukhyamantri Kisan Khet Sadak Yojana, Phirnis, Rural Sports Stadium at villages level and Government may approve any other development works other than above will also be taken up under this scheme. An amount of Rs. 399.69 crore has been released during 2024-25 (upto 23.10.2024).

Under this scheme, an amount of Rs. 400.02 cr. has been approved for the year 2024-25. An amount of Rs.100.00 crore has been approved for the year 2024-25 for implementation of Grey Water Management Projects under SBM-G.
