INTRODUCTION

 

                      The Department of Rural Development through the District Rural Development Agencies is implementing Special Beneficiary Oriented Schemes, Wage Employment Programmes and Area Development Programmes. The Government of India from the year 1999-2000 have restructured/modified most of the Rural Development Schemes.  Besides this, the Government Of India has also changed the funding pattern of all the schemes from 50:50, 80:20 and 100% and most of  the schemes are now being implemented on 75:25 sharing basis between the Central and State Governments respectively.  

 The Special Beneficiary Oriented Schemes, Wage Employment Programmes and Area Development Programmes being implemented by the department of Rural Development are given as under : -
